Book Fairs

  • 20% of all sales plus incentives:

    • 20% of prices for school staff and PTA specific purchases regardless of final sales

    • Total retail sales $10,000 and under = 20% of total retail sales to PTA

    • Total retail sales $10,000 to $15,000 = 20% of total retail sales to PTA + a $500 gift card to use for PTA-related book purchases with 20% discount off of books

    • Total retail sales over $15,000 = 20% of retail sales to PTA + a $750 gift card to use for PTA-related book purchases with 20% discount off of books

  • Set-up and tear down of books;

  • R.E.A.D. staff or volunteers onsite during open hours to handle all sales and questions, including evening hours;

  • Grade-level book talks to students on the first day of the book fair to highlight titles;

  • Online shopping for families who are unable to make it to the event;

  • Follow-up with families directly for any pre-orders or any questions they have;

  • The “best of the best” among just released children’s titles (e.g., we can have books just released the previous week at the book fair), plus we custo,ize to meet your school's needs;

  • Partnering with PTA so that all students, regardless of family income, can shop the book fair (e.g., At Barrett, the PTA offered to pay $2.50 per selected books which we matched so that eligible students could select a book of their choice);

  • PLUS a great feeling knowing book purchases not only benefit your school’s community but also the youngest and most vulnerable children in Arlington.
